The exhibition featured more than fifty works by twenty of Tijuana\u2019s most important contemporary artists, architects, designers, and filmmakers. Their bold, cutting-edge work embodied the powerful creative energy of a city transformed by crosscurrents of globalization, media, and issues of migration and identity.<\/p>\n<p>Whether as the subject or the actual physical source of the materials used to create works of art, the City of Tijuana was at the core of everything in\u00a0Strange New World\/Extra\u00f1o Nuevo Mundo, which\u00a0discovered new visual, verbal, and audio forms to manifest their experience of the rapidly changing interconnected realities of the local urban and global environments.<\/p>\n<p><em>Strange New World\/Extra\u00f1o Nuevo Mundo<\/em>, organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, featured the art of Mely Barrag\u00e1n, Bulbo, Alida Cervantes, Enrique Ciapara, Hugo Crosthwaite, Teddy Cruz, Einar and Jamex de la Torre, Salom\u00f3n Huerta, Ana Machado, Julio C\u00e9sar Morales, Julio Orozco, Ren\u00e9 Peralta, Marcos Ram\u00edrez ERRE, Salvador V.
