#rrrr (REDUCED, RESTRICTED, RESERVED BUT RESILIENT) includes various visions and approaches of what is feminine now, through the art practice of a wide array of artists. Each, approaching her or his own dialogue to establish their own place in this open conversation. I invite you (the viewer) to approach this exhibition with an open heart and without prejudice of what a “women’s art show” should be. I engaged this project through the eyes of a woman, an artist, a border citizen who lives the everyday experience of otherness. Feminization to transgender to masculinity viewed from the crumbling and dehumanizing perspective of the border relations of our times. Always being inspired by the history of women who earned their place in the world by overcoming the tribulations and struggles that the patriarchy established. Many things have changed, yet gender-identity is still a battlefield. This project is a statement on the empowerment of women, highlighting the plurality in gender politics. Inclusiveness, not exclusivity, is the trait that women bring to this world. We have fought for and gained spaces that were once impossible to access, and now we open the door to everybody.

#rrrr (REDUCIDO, RESTRINGIDO, RESERVADO PERO RESILIENTE) incluye varias visiones y enfoques de lo que es femenino hoy, a través de la práctica artística de una amplia gama de artistas. Cada unx, acercándose con su diálogo propio para establecer su lugar en esta conversación abierta. Lxs invito (al espectador) a que se acerque a esta exposición con el corazón abierto y sin perjuicios de lo que debería ser una “muestra de arte de mujeres”. Emprendí este proyecto a través de los ojos de una mujer, una artista, una ciudadana fronteriza que vive la experiencia cotidiana de la otredad. Feminización a lo transgénero a la masculinidad vista desde la perspectiva desmoronada y deshumanizadora de las relaciones fronterizas de nuestros tiempos. Siempre inspirándome en la historia de las mujeres que se ganaron su lugar en el mundo al superar las tribulaciones y luchas que estableció el patriarcado. Muchas cosas han cambiado, pero la identidad de género sigue siendo un campo de batalla. Este proyecto es una declaración sobre el empoderamiento de las mujeres, destacando la pluralidad en la política de género. La inclusión, no la exclusividad, es el rasgo que las mujeres traen a este mundo. Hemos luchado y ganado espacios a los que antes era imposible acceder, y ahora le abrimos la puerta a todxs.
